Something we actually use

These are not card boxes. That is exactly why we like them.

We use these narrow Akro-Mils shelf bins all the time for the loose stuff that otherwise takes over a card table: team bags, stands, labels, markers, price stickers, dividers, unopened supplies and cards waiting for their next step.

Why they earned a permanent spot

I originally looked at these as basic shop bins. They ended up being one of those boring purchases that quietly makes everything easier. They are narrow enough to line up on a shelf or under a table, open enough that you can grab something quickly and sturdy enough that they do not collapse when they are loaded.

At a show, I do not want to dig through one giant tote every time I need a marker, team bag or extra stand. These let me separate the little categories that create most of the clutter.

How we use them

Table setup supplies

Price stickers, markers, tape, small signs, clips and anything else we need repeatedly during a show.

Card protection supplies

Penny sleeves, team bags, dividers and small packs of holders stay separated instead of becoming one pile.

Incoming cards

A temporary landing spot for cards that still need to be scanned, priced, sleeved or moved into inventory.

Content and shipping odds and ends

Small tripods, label rolls, mailer supplies and the accessories that never fit neatly anywhere else.

What I would not use them for

I would not dump unprotected cards directly into these and call it a storage system. The open top is convenient, but it does not protect cards from dust, light, spills or getting bumped around. They are organizers for a workflow—not archival card storage.

I also would not buy a huge wall’s worth until you know which sizes fit your shelves and the categories you actually need. A few useful bins are better than turning the room into a blue-plastic maze.

My verdict

We use these enough that I do not have to invent a reason to recommend them. They solve a real clutter problem, they are easy to move around and they make show setup less annoying.

They are not exciting. They are just useful—which is usually a better reason to buy a supply product.
